India – Part 1

I grew up in Kolkata and lived there for 25 years of my life. It’s quite nostalgic to visit the city, family members and relatives. But, I don’t miss Kolkata as much I miss mom’s love and food. She pampers me with my childhood favorite dishes, gives me spa treatments. For entire two weeks, I don’t even refill my water bottle, dad does it in every few hours. Matthew loves Bengali food so he is in food heaven. He does not have to do laundry and dishes there, so you can imagine how happy he is.

My parents are quite protective, so dad drives us everywhere. But this time we went in middle of my semester so I was busy studying the whole time. We did not get much time to go out and mingle but went out for shopping. I wanted to visit my school, local market and take a few pictures. Most importantly I wanted to capture my mom’s food and preparation and I got plenty of those.

I did not get a chance to see my high school and undergrad friends. I did not have time to meet some of my online friends which I met through blogging. And I am sure most of them are pretty mad at me. But I go there for only 13 days and my parents deserve the undivided attention as they see us in two years.

Less talk and more photos!
